MISC DUG

Item Description
Where do I begin? This is the holy grail of Confederate cavalry relics. This is a fully complete, and best dug example I have EVER seen. This beauty was dug in one of Confederate General Earl Van Dorn‘s camps at Abbeville, Mississippi a few years ago. Abbeville is located in north-central Mississippi and was used by both sides during the war, finally being almost completely destroyed. The CS and stars definition is exactly what you want to see from this Memphis firm. The best thing about this example, unlike 90% of others, is the complete rowel. The spur is complete and completely the way it came out of the ground. There is only one very slight blemish (I mention for exactness) on the left side of the neck, but as you can see from the pics, does not take a way at all from the piece. You‘ll see CS L and R‘s without the rowel and recovery location go for $2500. This one is complete and the buyer will get the diggers name, when, and exactly where it was excavated.
