Item Description
This is a nice collection picked up from an estate sale here in Missouri. The oral history was the family had moved to Missouri in the 1870s after the War. The 49th Mass saw heavy combat at Port Hudson. They also fought at Baton Rouge, before being ordered to the department of the Gulf. This group consists of three reunion ribbons of various years and places. I can only imagine what boys from Massachusetts thought about the oppressive Louisiana heat. Comes loose in a frame, ribbons are NOT glued or held with adhesive. Nice instant reunion collection. Item Price Price: $95.00 Item Quantity Available: 1

Item Description
Stone beautiful example of an early battlefield dug US Cavalry bit from a small Guerilla camp west of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The verbal history of this relic is that it was eye balled by the guy‘s grandfather in a field west of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He said they found several items over the years, and thought it was a guerilla camp. Who knows, there were a lot in the area, but there were also a lot of Federals out and about too! Anyway it is a perfect example with both bit bosses, cheaper than any other you will find. A must for the Trans-Mississippi or Cavalry collector. Item Price Price: $195.00 Item Quantity Available: 1 |
