Item Description
Nice example of a Model 1874 belt and buckle, used in everyday fighting on the American Western frontier. These were staple among the troopers chasing the defiant Comanche, Sioux, and others fighting across the prairies and Mountains of the West. Leather is very pliable and nice, plate has the curve you want to see in plate that was worn. The only detraction is the addition of two rivets to secure the latch loop. I believe they have been added somewhere along the way, other than that, it‘s a great example of a piece from a romantic era of American history (assuming you weren‘t a Native American). I remember when you could by M1851 rigs for this price, don‘t miss this one!

Here is something you will not see for a while, a tin "US" embossed cup. This is an essential piece to your war in Cuba collection. Every soldier would have had one of these. I‘m sure a nice cool drink from this cup would have been nice after the attack on San Juan hill or chasing Emilio Aguanaldo in the Philippines.

Item Description
Very nice perfect 3rd annual reunion ribbon of Spanish American veterans of the 16th Indiana Volunteers. Pin back clasp is real nice, ribbon is strong, everything matches perfect and untouched. Back of pin is maker marked to Baltimore medal and novelty co. Neatest thing about it is the pic of the USS Maine on the bottom...."REMEMBER THE MAINE" Indiana was the first to meet her quota of men called up by the president. This was a war that would last four months and result in over 5,000 American deaths, 379 of those being combat, the other disease. Indiana furnished 7,421 soldiers for the Spanish American War, so there cannot be that many of these out there. Priced to sell.
