Item Description
Emerson and Silver made 1840s and 1860s are not that hard to find, but to find a state contract is. New Jersey contracted for it‘s own state cavalry troops quickly training and heading to the front. The Federal government actually bought some directly from New Jersey as surplus stock. This blade is clearly marked with the N.J. contract stamp and proofed with a manufacture date of 1863, no doubt this was brought back by a Jersey devil. Blade has NOT been altered, no nicks, ricasso washer is present. Has nice strong stamps. Handle to blade is solid. Original wire and 75% of skin remain. With a re-wrap and scabbard this would easily become a $1,200 saber. If you have ever wanted to own a state identified blade at a price anyone can afford this is it. Civil War Era Folding Side Knife
Item Description
This is a truly unique piece. This is a large folding knife manufactured locally. Knife is crude, yet well made, handle is solid, all iron is forged. The side knife was a staple for both Union and Confederate armies all during the war. It was used for fighting and every day tasks. Don‘t miss out on this truly uique piece. This would make a great addition to a Missouri State Guard or militia display. Item Price Price: $185.00 Item Quantity Available: 1

Item Description
I have always really loved these blades. This example is one of many European imports brought into the country with the influx of demand for the US Army to uniform it‘s men. The interesting note is that many of these 1840s reached the hands of our proud Southern gunners. Blade is not nicked or sharpened. Handle is tight on the blade and pommel. The leather has at some point been rewrapped in my opinion. I would rather have that, than no leather. Number stamped on handle, I would assume to be a rack number. Just a great Civil War Artillery sword priced lower than a common cavalry saber. Scabberd and blade original to one another. Item Price Price: $650.00 Item Quantity Available: 1

Item Description
Considered the workhorse of the Confederate cavalry, the M1840 was carried heavily among Western Cavalry troopers, including Forrest himself, who carried one throughout the war. If you like swords that haven‘t been screwed with, than this is the one for you. There has not been ANY modern alteration to this blade, there are a lot blades out there that have been doctored with to have "mint" wraps, etc. This beauty is exactly the way she was brought home. Guard is beautiful, wire is all there, wrap is a little wore in some areas, but is exactly how it should look. Blade is beautiful, unsharpened and tight with the guard. Has one nick (not big at all) on the blade, but I felt to be perfectly accurate I should mention it. Scabbard has NOT been painted or altered, it has a perfect patina on it. I mean this beauty is for the guy who likes "bringbacks" and not bringbacks that have had "help." You won‘t find one better than this for this price.
